The KOSIE is a professional organization for scientific and
technological advancement in
the field of indoor environment through research and exchange
of information, thereby
contributing to the national welfare.
The mission of KOSIE is to facilitate advances in the fused
interdisciplinary fields of
environmental health science, environmental material science,
architectural engineering,
mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, chemical
engineering, and related matters in industry and academia in order to contribute to the interest
of general public. |

| The KOSIE consists of a President, 5 Vice Presidents, 46 Directors, 2 Advisors, 2 Auditors and approx. 300 members from university, research institute, industry, and government. |

The KOSIE is actively engaged in the following activities
to accomplish the Society's
mission.
1. Hosting annual conferences, technological workshops, and seminars.
2. Publishing the KOSIE journal, Indoor Environment and Technology
(4 times in Korean
annually) and other written documents.
3. Performing survey and research, technological development and supervision, and consultation in the field of conservation of the indoor environment.
4. Exchanging information and attending meetings with relevant
international as well as
domestic academic societies and organizations.
5. Promoting academic research and technological development
by commendation.
6. Awarding those who contribute to the Society.
7. Other activities needed to promote KOSIE's objectives.
